Well, after spending some time on the phone with a Dinan tech guy, he came to the conclusion that it's not their stuff so it must be something else wrong with the car. Great. He ruled out the vacuum leak since it would have to be massive for the car to stall out so abruptly, which sounds right. When my intake manifold gaskets were leaking, my idle was rough and the engine would occasionally approach stalling but nothing like this. He said that the software coudln't be a problem unless they straight out installed the wrong chip but again, the chances of that are very slim but I'm going home and checking the part numbers anyway.

He suggested taking a look at the DK motors which could be wearing out, the EML control unit (I didn't know this could go bad), or the coil (I don't even know what this is). Any more ideas?
