I wouldn't use them on my car... there is a very good reason that automakers choose to make different wheels per different offsets, rather than just making a bunch of wheels and using varying spacers to adapt the "universal" wheel to the different offsets of the different cars. Although, this would cost considerably less in many ways... the number of axles, joints, etc. that they would be replacing under warranty would far outdo the cost savings of a universal wheel.

What specifically do spacers damage?... from what I have been told, they exponentially decrease the lifespan of every (major) drivetrain part from the pressure plate to the wheel bearing.

Whether that is true, or not, is a subjective question. I know people that have had spacers on their cars for years, and only run into minor problems... but then again, I met one guy at a SoloII event who put spacers on his car, and broke both axle's in his first heat. Oops.

Whatever you decide, good luck!

Justin
