With some variation for location, a '84-86 M635csi with around 100k miles should go for anywhere between $12k to $17k. Those at the bottom end will have worn leather and a few dings, while the top end should be pretty much immaculate.

This is based on the 6 months of shopping I did leading up to my own purchase. I got lucky. I found an immaculate one, no options, with 45k miles for $16.5K.
