Headlight adjustment... (archive)

I noticed in the archives that others have had the same problems with the headlight adjustment "washers/rings/wheel" coming off and then having to replace the headlight buckets at a high cost. If anyone has done this and has a spare adjustment wheel that they would be willing to part with I am considering having some machined out of steel vs. the nylon that they are originally made from--yes I ended a sentence with a preposition (almost). The contributor would be entitled to two of the machined metal ones for free (both of mine have gone south thus I don't have one to use as a model for the fabricator).
