You heard correct. I purchased it from a well-known Rock musician, last year. He decided to opt for the new SLR, when it releases. This car IS NOT STOCK. When purchased from the MBZ factory, the first owner saw a RennTech prototype being tested, and decided he HAD to have the same thing.
The car had 2900 miles on it when purchased. I have been hounded by the Automotive magazines to have it go head-to-head with the BMW Z8. Personally, I dont feel my car is in the same class as the Z8. But curiosity is KILLING ME too!
A prominent client of mine has expressed interest in it, and made me a very hard-to-ignore offer. However, if I let the publications have their way with it, the deal is off. I am still contemplating my options, but I am busy readying our race team, for Pike's Peak this summer. Wait till you see the upcoming press-release! I'll keep everyone posted...
