I've just spent half an hour reading the postings here...it's great to see that there are others in the World as passionate about the most beautiful car there is as me.I first saw an 8 series in 1991, and it looked pretty stunning to a nine year old! At the time my dad had a 635csi and it was 4 years before I could get him to buy an 8 series...a 1995 840Ci. By this time the only 8 series you could get in the UK was this and the 850csi,which our next door neighbour had. My dad found it a fantastic successor to the 635 and in 1997 after more persuasion he bought my mother an M3 Evolution 4 door. After turning 17(legal driving age here) I have driven both these cars and find them truly as fantastic as I had hoped. The 840 is due for replacement soon, and we're not sure whether to go for a new CL500, CL600..the new CL55..which you may not get in the US..or a 911 Turbo. Any suggestions ? Thanks, and long live the 8 series in our hearts!
