It has two cams, not one, etc. All the parts on the engine are M5 specific, i.e. expensive. From what I have read on this board, they would seem about the same, $2-3k per year. The M5 is 310hp stock and most have been chipped for plus 20-30hp. They run a low 14 in the 1/4 chipped but are even faster (like an 850 is too) at freeway speeds. Pretty fast car for four doors. Mine only carries four as it has the sport seats in the rear. Would definitely be a better track car than the 850.
