... but are you speaking from experience? You're right about speed limits: They have nothing to do with safety and everything to do with "revenue enhancement." As for the quality of the roads on Oahu, there's an old joke that one of the main drags going into downtown, "Kapiolani," means "men working" in Hawaiian. Practically the entire stretch has fissures and steel plates every couple of yards. AAs such, I try to avoid driving my car on it whenever possible.
