Hello everybody! You have a nice forum here, glad i found it! I just purchased a black -92 850i, and I'm just getting in to the the world of 'engineering art'! I have a few questions:
1. How do i change the language on the 'computer'. It's in German right now...(so are all the buttons, but i guess I can't change those :-) ) I remember seeing instructions for this long ago on the net, but I just can't find it any more..
2. The valve for directing airflow to the feet seems to be broken, I can't seem to get any air down there? Is there some way to test this, is it hard to fix? (Maybe the problem is the operator ;) )
3. Seems like the cooling water level is constantly low, not causing an alarm, but under the markings. I tried to fill it up, but after one day of driving, it was on the same level again. Can this be a leak in the radiator etc., or is it expansion in the system pushing the water out (overpressure), maybe because of airpockets in the system? I tried another 850 too, and that one also had a low level in the 'expansion vessel'.
I'm sure i'll have a lot more to ask as i learn more about the car, but this is all for now.
