Plenum Discoloration (archive)

Need some advise. When I picked up my 850 CSi on Jan. 20th, I noticed the plenum was a little discolored (kind of a golden haze) towards the front of the engine (by the throttle bodies). As of yesterday (and some VERY hard driving) the golden color has spread out to cover the entire plenum (although not as pronounced as the front, which has gotten worse). I have had the car washed several times at one of those professional places, but I know that they didn’t open the hood.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?? Should I be worried?
