Hai,
Does anyone have a extra heater installed in their 8-series ?

Their is a timer for activating the blower(s) of the driver compartiment (air-circulation). I also noticed a fuse for the socalled 'standheitzung' ('standkachel' in dutch).

I expect this option to be present in cold countries (or states) such as Canada or Sweden.

I called the dealer but they don't 'do' aftermarket stuff. I'm just wondering if there are any original heaters present.

Just for the record: The kind of heater I want is an extra system using petrol (from the cars fueltank) to heat up the cooling fluid. It is supposed to de-ice the car and pre-heat the interior and the engine. I would really like a pre-heated engine because - as everyone knows - a cold engine can't be driven hard and when cold it wears out very fast compared to a warm engine.
Several after-market systems are available but the wiring of these cars is very complex so an OEM system is highly appriciated (if in existence).

thanks,
Marco

PS Just to let of steam: Some sorry individuals stole my M-style exterior mirrors...:-((((
