Electronics expert on E31 is who? (archive)

Guys,

I need to find out who in America knows our complicated computer systems best. I live in Dallas and the best shop here in the metroplex admits that the dealerships aren't much help and it is nearly impossible to get help from BMW-NA on the E31. There are so few well trained mechanics, and there is so little compiled info on common breakdowns. I have what must be a simple problem in my '91 but no one can diagnose the exact problem (intermittent limp-home.) I am giving the shop one more chance to find it and then I am going statewide or even nationwide. PLEASE tell me if you know a true expert on E31 electronics or if you are one yourself. Any help is truly appreciated!
