A 10" width rim is more than enough for a 285 tire. The MParrallel's on the EURO CSi came standard with 245's mounted on 18 x 8's and 285's mounted on 18 x 9.5's. I am currently running, as are a few others on this board, 295's on my rear MParallels, and have no problems.
