Exactly! I find that I have to polish out the car at least 3-4 times a year because it shows swirls so easily. However, there's nothing prettier than this blue car in the sun: it's highlights go from deep blue all the way to purple. When clean and shiny, I get lots of compliments on the car.

'92 850i auto, Maur. Blue, 77K mi.

: It is Mauritiusblau. Paint code 287. It is a dark blue, call it "midnight" blue, with a subtle metallic base and a clear coat. I have this on my 1991 850i and I can attest that when it's buffed out and clean it looks great. But it shows swirl marks and dirt very easily.
