Sometimes when I first start my 1993 850 Ci, I hear a strange gurgling sound that appears to be coming from the left rear of the car. It only happens when the car is started, and only lasts a few seconds. It sounds like fluid and air running through a hose.
It could be the rear washerfluid being transferred to the container in the front...but something is preventing this so it happens everytime at startup or the front container is already full...they system is however assuming otherwise.
I believe the rear container is only present in euro models (it is ment for the headlampwashers; they need loads of water)
I'm currently experiencing some trouble there too: the refilling doesn't happen (!). The front container is empty (but isn't reported to the driver) it should report it to the system so it could be refilled. I had the dealer take a look at it...all pumps seem te be working...but still it doesn't refill the front container. They are currently looking into the problem.
When it did work...there was a strange noise from the back (sounded scary to me too, the first time I heard it)
