850/40 groupies are invited to the annual "barrel tasting" on 4 March 2000. Dry Creek Valley and Westside Road. Near Santa Rosa/Healdsburg, CA. The day will begin with a potluck breakfast at my house and then onward through the wine country.

For those of you who are not familiar with the event: It is held once a year. The various wineries will let you taste, from the barrel, via wine thief, the newest wines that have just been fermented and placed in barrels. You may buy futures on the wines if you think that they will be superb. Then you pick up the ines in a couple of years when they are bottled.
