245/40/18 = 25.71"

285/35/18 = 25.85"

295/35/18 = 26.13"

Thus, the 285/35 is just over 2% greater diameter than the original stock tire size, while the 295/35 is 3.1% greater. I just think the 295 is too tall and contributes even more to an already understeering car. YMMV.
