I can tell you that the control only moves the top edge of the brighter lights about ten feet further forward on the road (a few inches on an imediate wall).

I am not sure this would provide the versatility of a fully mechanical solution. Although... it is a nice feature if you live in an area with street lamps as well as dark forrested drives. You can keep the lights down in the city, and raise them up on the backroads.
