You might get the quickest response by posting the question in the 3-series board. I know it sounds weird, but someone has made a kit to place the S70 motor (5.6 from a CSi) in a 318ti (I don't EVEN want to know how bloody quick that car would be!). If anyone over there has done this modification they could clue you in on the costs.
