Pressure in Gas Tank? (archive)

When I put fuel in my car, there is a slight, but very noticeable, positive pressure in the tank. Takes
5 seconds or so to vent when cap is loosened to first
detent. I don't recall this effect on the wife's '97
328, but I rarely put gas in that one, and she's no help.
Is this normal to the breed?
