Dear Exalted E31 Devotees - -

I need your help and sage advice.

On two of four recent short trips around town, the oil light came on in the instrument panel and the "low oil pressure" warning came across the computer. Stopped at nearest gas station and checked the oil level - it reads full. Watched the temperature gauge - stayed smack in the middle (12 O'clock) as it always does. Performance is as strong as ever. No other noticable drivability issues.

What gives? Could it really be an oil pressure thing? Is it just a sensor? Note: On the last short trip I took (approximately 2 miles) no lights and no warnings.

Anyone have any thoughts or common experiences?
