Here's another precaution you could take: The high frequency portion of a TIG weld(when set to weld steel,DC reverse polarity) takes place only at the very beginning of the weld, and is used only to make the arc easier to start at the reduced amperage that is typical of a rheostat controlled TIG welder. The high frequency can be turned off, with the drawback of the arc is harder to start. But, that's what a good welder is paid for, right?
Anybody can weld on the bench, sitting on a stool. Over your head, vertical up--now that's the real world!

: will be tig welding in the upper shock rear. will have ecu,s in engine bay, and trunk area disconnected but left in car. Should the units be pulled? High frequency a problem. Have reinitialization prcedures for engine managment, radio, sunroof memory, anything more to add? Should the air bag module be disconnected also? Thanks For Your Help
