E31 owners please help. (archive)

I have a chance too purchase 92' 850I 100,000 mi on it. It was repo.
The person is asking $18,000 for it. I have an 88' 750IL I can tell the way engine should sound like on that car and I always consider that too bee a similar sound and fell of the 850I a baby brother. If I'm wrong please correct me. I'm going too see it this weak. What should I listen for ore too concentrate on.
