Well If you hear anything strange you know theres a problem. I'll tell you what, my motor purrs and runs perfectly, no noises, the next day the water pump blew out, oh yea, it fails emissions greatly too, and when i bought it leaked all over the damn engine. Listening wouldn't have given me a clue. :)

Advice: Have it checked out with a computer code dump and gas analyzer before buying it.
