Well, I guess it really was just a glitch. Have driven over 200 warning free miles now since those ghostly warnings. Maybe the answer lies in the fact that my 840 sat idle for almost 2 weeks at the body shop awaiting a spring freshening. Anyway, will tell BMW dealer when it goes in next, but so far so good.

: Dear Exalted E31 Devotees - -
: I need your help and sage advice.
: On two of four recent short trips around town, the oil light came on in the instrument panel and the "low oil pressure" warning came across the computer. Stopped at nearest gas station and checked the oil level - it reads full. Watched the temperature gauge - stayed smack in the middle (12 O'clock) as it always does. Performance is as strong as ever. No other noticable drivability issues.
: What gives? Could it really be an oil pressure thing? Is it just a sensor? Note: On the last short trip I took (approximately 2 miles) no lights and no warnings.
: Anyone have any thoughts or common experiences?
: Thanks in advance,
: Gregg
