My lumbar adjustment has never worked so last weekend I found a quick fix until I replace the air pump assembly. I pulled out the air pump and re-assembled the seat back with the air hose sticking out near the hand brake. I attached a squeeze bulb type hand pump (like you find on a blood pressure cuff....and no, I'm not going to try to spell sphygmomanometer!) to the hose and behold: a working lumbar support! I had this bulb from the lumbar bag on an old Recaro seat, and I'm currently trying to find sources for them. If anyone is interested in this fix, I do know of one source but they're medical grade pumps (Halkey-Roberts, Inc)
BTW, if available, would someone please send me the part number for the lumbar air pump ass'y. TIA.
P.S. I'm still looking for a Motorola phone hand set....
P.P.S - Started cleaning off the cosmoline with the KS Premium stripper...take your time, use a toothbrush and it works great. DON'T get any on your paint!! One side looks almost new, today I'll tackle the other.
Regards to all,
Stan C.
