Before getting into an 850, you have to realize that it is a very limited production car, and that although most of the parts look like they are out of the standard parts bin, they are not. If you have the type of personality that can deal with difficult parts searches, limited aftermarket accessories, and bewildered mechanics, then go for it. Although the car is probably the most reliable supercar in the world, stuff wears out. You must also be willing to spend $2K to 3$ a year on maintenance, and that's if nothing bad goes wrong. That includes new tires once a year. Don't forget: 12 mpg if you are polite. I have had mine for about three years now, and I love it. Big, heavy, grunt, looks, reliability, two doors.
