Once out of warranty, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is similar to the concept that you don't want to go to the hospital unless you are dying. Sometimes the service people can cause more problems than they cure. If it IS broke, try to do it yourself first, rely on the dealership or repair shop only on repairs that require special tools, training, etc. If you don't MIND huge repair bills like you will get with the 8 series, what are you doing buying a used car anyhow?
