Hallo everybody.

I have a 850CS -95. A couple of days ago I notice a "small" leak from my hydraulic pump.
Lets put this this way, when I was filling the hydralic tank up the oil was streaming out from the pump.
So I went with my car to my mechanics and thay told me that the pump was broken.
OK. I called BMW here in Sweden and thay did not have this pump register in their computers!!
(there was only 7, SEVEN, CSI sold in Sweden totaly)
Well my mechanics took the pump apart and found gaskets that fitted in other stores. :-).
The put the pump back and it was working. :-)
for about 15 minutes :-(.
Well that did not know wahat to do. Thay called their conections att BMW, BMW check TIS, no advice could be found.
I know the guy that was repair the pump so I started to talk to him about this pump.
Conclusion was reached, pump it self do not have any preasure regulation.
End of day, not realy, I called them at 20.00 and they where still at work workin on some old M3, I asked them if it is ok if i take a look at my car at that time.
It was ok, so I went there.
During the travel to my mechanics I relized that if the gaskets where ok the only reason for the leak was over-preasure.
When I arrived I disconected the rear stearing preasure sensor, and then the pump stoped leaking :-).
So now we have only two possible malfunctions:
the preasure sensor or the valve housing.

Do anybody have any experience of this kind of malfunc?

/Mikael
