: Unless it is a 6spd. manual in a very nice condition - forget it. You could find a lower mileage piece for that much money all day long. I sold my '95 840Ci with 95,000miles for 24,700USD and seen '92-93 850's for 28,000USD with 60k or less mile. If it is a 6spd. manual and you want that, then might be. Check the usual worns - suspensions, electronics, etc. The engine should last over 200,000mile , trans. manual same thing, auto might need an overhaul after 125-150k miles but shouldn't be anything major. That doesn't neccesarry mean you won't spend 2-2,500USD annualy on the car but that is minor for an 8 series. Suspension can be very expensive specially the EDC type (EDC button on the center console) and usually wont last over 100k miles. Shocks, lower control arm, bushings, tie rods has to be changed around 100k also at about 150k the catalic converter , etc.
Good luck !
