: I am very interested in the purchase of an 840 or 850. The problem I am encountering is that I can not locate enough information about the cars.
: I would like to know about known problems with the cars and whether or not they are a pleasure to own or if they are constant trouble/maintenance nightmares. I suppose I'm looking for the "truth" about the cars from their owners.

: Thank You

Pricey repair bills when compared to lesser cars but, then again, you get what you pay for. Not a series for typical American hotrodders. 0-60 won't leave many Mustangs (and the like) in the dust. These cars are designed to cruise. To cruise for long periods or time at high speeds and not give the driver ANY trouble the entire way. They're extremely technologically advanced. The 850's (All model designations) have a limp-home feature that will run on one bank of 6 cylinders if the engine is having trouble. The 850CSi is the most desirable having better performance. Some consider it an ///M car. -- it truly has everything to make it an ///M8 it just didn't get the M8 designation.
Anyway, the other guys can give you more information since they own these wonderful beasts. I'm just a future owner, a kid in love if you will. Electrical problems and confusion is one thing uneducated owners run into. That's just the price you pay for a car that will automatically roll the windows up for you when you pass 90mph.
