After smashing my 850i into the guard rail in the mountains of west virginia last christmas eve, I finally got my car back. I was worried because I think I have the only 850i in the whole state and the mechanics, even at the dealer, have no experience with this car. The body work looks great and they repainted the whole car. However, the when initially hitting the accelerator, the car feels weak. As if it isnt getting enough gas or one of the cylinders isnt firing. My insurance assures me that the local dealer checked the car and my problem was due to the car being "old." I never felt this problem before the accident though. I can drive it to another state and have it checked out by a more knowledgable dealer, but I am worried driving a long distance might damage it furthur. What should I do?
