Scott,
I just got back from a 1700 mile trip from California to Idaho and back with my '95 840Ci. 75 mph speed limit across Nevada. 55 mph across the Oregon desert(I just let someone else run a mile or two ahead at 70-75 to fettet out the radar but did not see any patrols)! This was the first real open road driving I have done with my 840Ci and I found what the 8 series was really built for. Nice to be able to run completely relaxed for hours at 80mph. For the trip which included quite a bit at city driving and mountain driving to 8400 feet elevation over the Sierras I got 20.3 mpg. I will let you do the conversion to L/100km. Not bad mileage for good hard driving.

: Different articles I have read on the V12 (5.0l)850 claim it uses anywhere between 11-21 litres per 100km! Can someone please tell me realistically what milage I would expect to recieve from day to day driving in l/100km and what range I would expect to get out of a tank? Does the 840 use a lot less fuel?
