Hi guys / gals

I know this is probably a very individual question, but I'll give it anyway... Should I buy an 850?

First some background info. I've always loved the e31, I've driven them all except the CSI, manual, 4.4 5.0 and 5.4 versions. I currently drive a 328is cab that I enjoy quite a bit. I also have a 735i that my wife drives and a K75S motorcycle for commuting.

So here is the deal my friend is leaving the country to pursue a job opportunity in Europe and has offered me his beautiful Calypso on light gray 91. He bought it new and has all service records, new intake gaskets, DK motors, rear and front gaskets +++. It has 60K miles on it, but people of think it's a 97 when they see it. It's also been lowered and has 18' Alpina wheels with Bridgestone PolePosition tires. The car looks great. The price of the car is favorable, not that it's cheap, but I know what I'm getting.

My dilemma is I can't afford having both the E36 and the E31, my garage isn't big enough either for that matter. I love both cars equally and can't really make up my mind, they are so different yet both are superb.

I'm sure many of you have been in the same situation, giving up one car for an E31... Any input would be appreciated.
