Will 840 wheels fit an 850? (archive)

I'm in need of new wheels (my OEM's are a wreck, with the coating nearly gone) and I'm only looking to go to 17" rims. I've come across a number of places that sell OEM (used or take-offs) at reasonable prices (see link below). My question - Can 840 wheels (specifically the BM82/83 wheels or the BM48/49) fit an 850i (1992)?
