Sorry to continue the "early model" theme from below, but my understanding is that BMW corrected the problem prior to introducing the 850 to the US market. Wasn't this problem corrected by BMW in late 1990 based on 1988-1990 750 V12 head problems with the banjo bolts? My understanding is by no means authoritative, just from discussions with BMW mechanics. If incorrect, please let us know so that those of us with the early models can take corrective measures.
