For comparison purposes, I bought a 93 850CI 6 speed for $33K a couple of months ago. It had 37K miles and had been well taken care of.
This was the retail price listed in the NADA book which is the only one I use to price BMWs. I tried to get the owner to come down but he did not need the money and would not sell the car for any less. I had such a hard time finding a good 93 6 speed that I finally bought the car. I did not want to let it get away from me.
I believe that in most cases the 6 speeds are now selling on average for more than the automatics.
