Before I chipped mine, I traded emails with Jim about the chip and idle issue. He was very clear, the main ECU chips his replace do not control the idle, the EML chips do.

To recap what we're talking about, the car's idle wanders upon start-up for maybe 2-3 cycles between 300 to 800 rpm, then settles down nicely. From discussions with other 850 owners (chipped and not), this is pretty normal and seems to occur occasionally regardless of chipping. I think the issue is compounded by mis-diagnosis of intake gasket leaks, particularly if its severe enough to cause stalling and happens in cold weather. It does seem that there may be a an idle issue related to the EML, a sensor input, or another idle management component. Something to keep an eye out for, but not likely chip related.

Hey Justin, what gives? I thought you were selling your 850? Are you keeping it?
