Well, I took my car to a BMW dealership and they told me that it would cost $88 just to diagnose the problem. Since the sunroof opens and closes anyway, although not automatically, I think I'll put off on this. I ordered the factory service manual from zygmunt so I can fix it myself along with anything else that may need fixin' later on. At least it wasn't a total waste of time visiting the dealer since I had to buy the plastic clip-on screws for the top part of the air diffuser that leads to the radiator fan. Now if only all repairs were that simple...sigh!
