The alarm controller for the 1991 is in the passenger door sill. It contains it's own 15 amp fuse right on the controller. Kinda lame, it beeps the horn if you open the trunk, doors, hood, or glovebox with the car double-locked. It's a mess to peel back all the carpeting, trim, and duct-work to gain access to the box.

It does not have anything to do with the keyless remote.

Way to test if alarm is working: Roll down window, double-lock car, open door. Horn should beep.
