What I meant by brake overhaul ? 2 Rear rotors need to be replaced as it is worned too much for re-surface. The front rotors may be able to re-surface. The front and rear pads need to be replaced. 2 sensors suggested to be replaced. I know I do not have to replace the front rotors. But I figured if I don't replace them, now. The next six months I will have to. Beside I am going to ask my cousin to help me doing the replacement, so I might as well go for it and replace everything. Let me list the prices here to see if they are right.

Front Rotors : $60.50 X 2 Dealer $172.00 X 2
Rear Rotors : $44.00 X 2 Dealer $ 94.00 X 2

Front Pads : $89.00 set Dealer $192.00 set
Rear Pads : $76.00 set Dealer $142.00 set

Front Sensor : $11.00 Dealer $25.00
Rear Sensor : $11.00 Dealer $25.00

Total $396.00 Dealer $916.00
Shipping $ 48.00 20% off list price
(wholesale price on
parts)
- $183.2

Barbecues, + (2 hours labor
Beers for $80 X 2)
my cousin + $100.00 $160.00

Grand total = $544.00 = $912.80

Anyway thank LEZ for your concern. I am really appreciated. Also, I live in Southern California, (Orange County) you want to come over to visit me ? you are welcome. Hahaha. J/K.

Gentlemen, I don't feel bad after spending 1/2 a grand on brake parts. Because, I love the car. Second, the ride is incredible. And third, I used to own a 1997 Lexus ES300 and you know what. There is no comparison. The ride on Lexus is relaxed and comfortable. The ride on the BMW 8 is amazing. Not as comfort nor relax. But solid, stable, and kicking butt !!! I left the Mercedes SL 500 in the dust, on freeway of course. And freeway is where the 8 shine. Oh, and to tell you guys the truth, I am not that good at driving, neither.

BTW, LEZ, how much you paid for your Brembo slot rotors ?
