I have purchased a 3/36 bumper to bumper, exclusionary policy from consumer's choice warranty for <$3000. I worked with Pat the owner of the company, and put together a deal for anyone with an E31 -- just tell him you are part of the 8 series club. They have been in the process of putting some new warranty packages together but I think they are up and running again. BTW, I have no affiliation and make no commission etc...
