: Thanks for your replies.
: This does appear to be the exact same design wheel, only cast instead of forged. So will they weigh the same? (unsprung weight is important)
: Replicas are only avalable in 18"x8", where as the the BMW wheel is available in 18"x8" front and 18"x9.5" rear.
: Replicas are $250 each and BMW wheels from a discount dealer are about $500 each, so there is significant savings with the replicas.
: Comments welcome.

FWIW, there is a post on the E34 M5 Board stating that the 18" TT replicas weigh about 30 lbs., versus 23 lbs. for the same size BMW Parallels. The problem with the Internet, of course, is that this may be right on the money, or merely some guy's WAG. ;-) I do know that when I was shopping for aftermarket wheels for an E30 M3 I used to own, I was surprised how many popular aftermarket wheels were substantially heavier than OE wheels of the same size. Despite having bantered a bit with Phil S. about the benefits of forged wheels, I'll admit that if it were me I'd spring the extra $1k (not all that much in the scheme of things) and get the factory wheels. Good luck with your decison, and the good news is, whichever wheel you choose, they'll look great!
