I have a 91 also, the owner's manual is hard to understand. How do you activate it exactly? Also I was checking my fuse box today and saw a fuse label showing "tyre pressure indicator". Do we or you have this feature?
Thanks,
Emir
: Derek,
: I have a 91 850i.
: I think everyone has the computer on the dash engine starting disabler which is activated by hitting code and punching in any number that you want. Then the car won't start. The only problem is that you better have a good memory or you can't start your car. But it is a very good anti-theft if someone else breaks all the other alarms.
: Mine also has an Alpine aftermarked button push opener, anti-theft disabler and alarm. Therefore I have three alarms, (1) The dash code set alarm, (2) The original equipment alarm activated when locking the door lock to the right which sets off the horn and doesn't allow the doors to open and shuts off the ignition. (3) The aftermarket Alpine which sets off a electronic varying noise alarm and disables the ignition.
: The only problem is nothing when they are working except you need a good memory. The problem for me now personally is that the after-market Alpine just stopped working. It still opens and closes the car with a button push but the alarm and disabler doesn't work. I will probably have to call the previous owner to find out where he had it installed. Once I do that I will post the information on who and how it's done so others interested can get a push-button opener and alarm, eng disabler.
