Another need for hitches(?) (archive)

I just got back from a specialty store which sells bike racks (obviously I'm looking for one for the 850). Neither the roof racks or the rear bumper racks are available for the 8's (we checked various major mfg's) and the salesman said the best way is to install a hitch and use a rack that plugs into the receiver, so the rack doesn't touch the car.

Questions: Has anyone used a bicycle rack on their 8? If so, what brand/model? Did it cause any paint damage? Also, as above, has anyone installed a hitch on their 8?
