I have a BMW roof rack. The whole kit was over US$600.00. Even if you take both wheels off of a racing bike, it won't fit in the trunk. The rack is really neat. It clamps onto a hidden attachment point under four little hinged covers in the top trim strips. You can take a thin screw driver and flip-up those little covers in the trim strip, and there are mount points for the rack because of the aero windows. Because of that, you don't have to leave it fitted up all of the time. You can put it on and take it off in about one minute.
