New spedo, tail lights ?????? What else?? You don't have to change those ! tail lights and speedo are fine but you have to go through a lot of other changes : - computer - catalic converter QAnd because the car was imported but that car is not a US spec. I don't think they'll let you bring it in. The DOT will say " Buy a US spec here ! And let me tell they will be right ! I know the 33k DEM sounds like a deal but consider this ! The shipping will be at least 700USD custome fee 1.5% + prep cost cca 600USD add togheter : 33k DEM ~ 17,000USD + 1,500USD=18,500 Yes you might not be able to buy an 850i even a 1991 in the states for that money but you could buy one and have it financed for up to 5 years ! Certanly it is much better way if you are buying a "regular" car (regular means not different from the US spec.) If you'd be interested to buy something extraordinary like a Porsche 959, a BMW Z1 or even the 850CSI then I'd say go ahead and bother but in this case "Don't bother"
