I was quoted USD 12000,- to convert a 1992 750i to US Spec... this car even had a CA emission sticker under the bonnet. I'm sure the 850i isn't any cheaper. Needless to say I skipped the whole project... Unless you can import the car as a part of a move, and less stricker regulations, I would have to agree with Lez...
