Bay Area 8's Picnic Reminder (archive)

Greetings,
This is a reminder that we're one week away from the picnic. Don't be shy, RSVP and tell us your coming. Don't live in California? Why not make a road trip to San Francisco and join us. Great time of year for a vacation.

So far, we have 7 confirmed and 3 maybe's. This might just be the largest gathering of 8's the Bay Area has ever seen ;-)

Date: Sunday, June 25
Time: 11:00 am to .....
Place: Mt. Diablo State Park
Cost: $5.00 Park Entrance Fee
Directions: Get on 680 to Danville (south from Walnut Creek, north from Pleasanton).
Take Diablo Road Exit, and go East on Diablo Rd.
After 2.8 miles, go left on Mt. Diablo Scenic Blvd.
You'll wind through a private residential area for a short while then start up the mountain.

We'll secure a spot in the morning. Look for 8's, balloons, tourists, gawkers, etc. PLEASE: remember to bring sunscreen , and hopefully someone has a digital camera so we can post picnic pics.

The pot-luck sign-up sheet will be updated and sent out by e-mail later today. Lot's of fun and surprises planned.
