The 4-wheel sterring (AHK, Aktive Hinterachs-Kinematik) was only standard on the CSi.
But could be mounted on any 8-series if you ordered it like that (BMW Personalise program).
I have seen one 840 with AHK.

The cars whitch have this option have a electronic box i the trunk on the right side behide the cover.
This cars also have a accumulator tank under the spare tire.

I don't think that Your car have this option, but one can never know.....
